Man-Made Stone

On going project since 2014. Porcelain. Max width for one man-made stone: 11 mm

Porcelain is an ancient material and it is often associated with the impression of being “fine”. Numerous products on the market give this impression by painting or printing fine patterns on the surfaces or by carving tiny details into the porcelain bodies. Are there any other ways to present this fine material?

Based on curiosity I layered the porcelain layers one after another. The site view becomes interesting – you can see how different layers of porcelain are combined and become a pattern. The image is an enlargement. The size of each circle is max. 11mm in diameter.
